Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using WhoJustCalled ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). WhoJustCalled is operated by Bleugates ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

WhoJustCalled is a community-driven caller ID application for Ghana. The App allows users to:

• Look up phone numbers to see community-reported information and trust scores
• Report phone numbers as safe, suspicious, or fraudulent
• Upload evidence supporting reports (screenshots, recordings where legally permitted)
• Earn points and badges for contributing to the community database
• Receive caller ID information for incoming calls

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use WhoJustCalled. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The App is primarily designed for use within Ghana.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account using your Ghana phone number (+233 format), Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and truthful information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use WhoJustCalled only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:

• Submit false or misleading reports about phone numbers
• Use the App to harass, stalk, or intimidate any individual
• Deliberately misclassify phone numbers (e.g., marking a legitimate business as fraud)
• Attempt to manipulate trust scores or reputation scores through coordinated false reporting
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful files as evidence
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the service to facilitate mobile money fraud, phone scams, or any illegal activity

6. Community Contributions

When you submit a report, comment, or evidence, you grant WhoJustCalled a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of providing caller ID services to the community. You retain ownership of any original content you submit.

Reports contribute to a phone number's reputation score and category. We reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove reports that violate these Terms or appear to be submitted in bad faith.

7. Points and Badges

WhoJustCalled awards points for community contributions (e.g., +10 per report, +5 per evidence file). Points determine your badge level (Contributor, Protector, Guardian). Points and badges are for recognition purposes only, have no monetary value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed. We reserve the right to adjust the points system at any time.

8. Accuracy and Disclaimers

WhoJustCalled relies on community-submitted data. We do NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any caller ID information, trust scores, or phone number categories displayed in the App. Specifically:

• A phone number marked "safe" may still be used for fraudulent purposes
• A phone number marked "fraud" may belong to a legitimate person or business
• Trust scores are algorithmically calculated and may not reflect the true nature of a caller

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. You use the information at your own discretion and risk.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, submit false reports repeatedly, or engage in activity that harms the community or the integrity of our service. Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will be revoked
• Your points and badges will be forfeited
• Your prior reports may remain in the system in anonymized form to preserve data integrity

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Bleugates and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on caller ID information displayed in the App
• Loss resulting from reliance on community-reported data
• Damage to reputation from community reports about your phone number
• Service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches

11. Intellectual Property

The WhoJustCalled name, logo, and App design are the property of Bleugates. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of WhoJustCalled shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Accra, Ghana.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via push notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
